Team
1 Designer (me), 1 Front-end Engineer, 2 Back-end Engineers
02 · Problem
Wevolver had valuable content but struggled with discoverability and user engagement. As the only designer on a lean team, I needed to improve UX, increase organic traffic, and support business goals without relying on ads or paid marketing.
03 · Process
- Audited the existing experience and SEO structure.
- Ran user interviews to understand how engineers browse and consume technical content.
- Restructured the discovery page to support search behavior and long-tail topics.
- Designed and implemented a follow-and-digest flow to re-engage readers via email.
- Balanced user needs with SEO requirements to create pages that were both readable and indexable.

04 · Article Page Evolution
One of the most impactful UX improvements I led was the redesign of Wevolver's article page layout. Over three major iterations, I aimed to increase content discoverability, improve engagement, and support SEO goals while maintaining a clean, readable experience for engineers landing from search.
2021
Clean but minimal. No topic tags, author identity, or related content surfaced. Bounce rate was high.

2023
Introduced topic navigation, author bios, and tag links to guide users into deeper reading paths.

2025
Sharper SEO structure and clearer CTAs. Enabled sharing, following, and topic-first discovery.

05 · Outcome
Organic traffic increased by +88% over 3 months (Oct 2022 – Jan 2023).
Email click-through rate grew +326% after the digest redesign.
Platform scaled from 600K to over 3M annual users.
